Network Operation Section

Below are the functions of the Network Operation Section:

• Administration and management of networking infrastructure
• Procure new hardware for Electronic Government on behalf of member organisations
• Expand the Electronic Government Network (EGN)
• Ensure network stability and security Undertake EGN configuration
• Ensure the delivery of the full range of network-based services for the EGN Build and maintain central server rooms for the consolidation of Government servers
• Administration and management of all Government server infrastructure Define minimal/desirable hardware standards for Government
• Undertake the role of project manager for outsourced Government hardware and networking projects
